Bábovka







 This cake is an old recipe for our grandmothers my husband  love this cake without cocoa because the photo is not a cacao part but you can do it as you want. I use instead of a classic butter dairy free butter because my son is allergic to milk In this case also use milk coconut or almond or rice not whole cow's milk. You can fill it with creme or jam








6 eggs
300 g caster sugar
180 g of butter
250 ml of whole milk or cream
1 bag of vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
450 g coarse flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons of cocoa
Powdered sugar for dusting





1. preheat the oven to 180/160 degrees; Separate yolks and whites. Wipe the egg yolks with the sugar, then add the softened butter and warm not hot, milk or cream. In another bowl, whisk the whites
With vanilla sugar and flour mixed with baking powder. Then gently mix the snow and flour into the yolk mixture.











2.We put baking paper into the mold  Pour the half of the dough into the mold, add the remaining color to the cocoa and pour into a light dough. Bake for about 30 minutes. Cake is done when a toothpick is clean

Easter Paska




recipe with the traditional Easter cake.


Tomorrow I'm starting to bake cakes and Easter cheese everything to prepare for Sunday morning. Today and tomorrow is the day Lent therefore today I only cook pirohy stuffed with potato. 😋


Ingredients
500 g flour ·
30 g yeast
70 g granulated sugar
250 milliliters of milk
120 grams of butter
1/2 teaspoon salt

The dough can add raisins, sprinkle top of sliced almonds.


1:
In warm, not hot milk we dissolve sugar, crumble the yeast and leave to rise for about 15 minutes. Veľkonočna Hrudka ( Easter cheese)

And we have the classic Slovakia :) on the table not be missing ham, eggs, horseradish, beetroot and sausage. Everyone has different recipes and on Easter cheese is a lot but I will give you the recipe to do my mom.






Tradition is also going with basket full of food to church to bless it to the priests.

1 liter milk

10 eggs

sugar to taste

little salt

raisins if you like


The pot give milk, sugar to taste and a little salt and raisins. eggs then stir over a low flame until a lump. then drain in cloths and even water pushes out tie. allowed to drip 1 hour.

coffee whipped cream






great on cupcake or cake


500 ml double cream or whipping cream

4 teaspoons of coffee

4 tablespoons sugar



Coffee, sugar, mix together and add to the cream . Bring to a boil. Let it cool and place in refrigerator. Best whisk next day.

Homemade white bread






1000 g flour semi-coarse
7 g yeast 
600 ml water
2.5 teaspoons of salt
2.5 teaspoon crushed cumin
2 tbsp sunflower oil
2 tbsp vinegar 8%
2 pieces potatoes cooked in their skins
on greased baking pan butter



Unsalted water to boil potatoes.


When we have cooked and peeled potatoes and cool we will prepare all the necessary ingredients and start giving them all gradually into a bowl


add grated cooked potatoes. Grate them on the smallest grater to join us nicely into the dough. Knead dough properly


Beware of the temperature of the dough must not be too warm to us, if we put the potatoes while still warm, cooler water should be put.


If you find sparse, you gave a lot of water or less flour, now is a good time to add flour if it is thick, add water, but carefully. Right consistency of dough can not write, you have to feel in your hand, that is right.

Kneaded dough can rise in a bowl covered with a cloth in a warm place for 45 minutes. Then back again mixed, we rolled out and shaped into the desired form.

Lentil soup



Our favorite soup It is best with crispy baguette or bread :)

lentils

frankfurters or sausage

salt

ground red paprika

oil

marjoram

ground black pepper



1: day-ahead a dunk lentils in water.

2: then we pour off the water and put it in the pot and fill in with cold water and boil

3:Slice frankfurters or sausages into pieces and put it in lentils. then marjoram, ground black pepper, salt, and boiled until tender. 

4: in a small saucepan put oil for about 4 tablespoons Depending on how many soup in the pot to give oil 1 tablespoon paprika. We leave a little bubble then switched off and pour the soup stir, boil and serve with bread.


Chicken pocket with pepper and cheese. wrapped in bacon



If you cook every day and now you do not know what to cook try this simple recipe of chicken meat.

4 pieces chicken breast
1 red peppers

spaghetti with loyd grossman sauce ( tomato& smoked bacon)







Loyd Grossman sauce (tomato and smoked bacon) I love this sauce is great spaghetti and pasta and the only bread. I'll give you a recipe that I do often I :)

If the sauce is sour and put a little sugar to taste

oil
Plums baby tomatoes
red onion

salt, pepper, marjoram, basil


Chop the onions finely

put in a pan with oil. Fry until tender.

Lokša




Lokša is a gypsy bread Slovak gypsies If they have no bread, so they baked lokše. You can also do so made that the dough knead is rolled out then cut on a large triangles and bake dry frying pan :)



350 g flour
salt
baking soda
water


Put in a bowl the flour, salt and baking soda






Poured water gradually stir until obtaining a thick sticky dough.






dough splits in half , and first half of each will expand with spoon after nonstick frying pan. so a thickness of about half a centimeter.






Bake until golden brown on dry frying pan.

Tortillas with Frankfurters and tomato sauce




This recipe is originally from book The farmhouse kitchen is a recipe for Jacket potatoes.  But I love the tortilla so I can edit it on my way of and it's delicious :)
You may add vegetables or chicken it will be just as well.






5 Tortillas

175g frankfurters

oil

spring onion

200g can chopped tomatoes

cheese



cut the frankurters into 2.5cm chunks and slice the spring onions thinly. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and fry the onions and frankfurters for 2 minutes stirring occasionally.




then we put the tomatoes and mix. Put black pepper, salt




Heat the tortillas according to package, and fill.




sprinkle with cheese and wrap.











Veterníky / pinwheels




Popular dessert my husband when he wants something sweet, this is always a good selection

DOUGH
10 tablespoons
Water
100 g
butter
125 g
flour
4
egg
pinch of salt




Yolk CREAM

500 ml
milk

4
yolk

3 tablespoons
semi-coarse flour

1 package
vanilla pudding

200 g
  sugar

250 g
butter

300ml
double creme




In a pot, boil the water and let the butter with a pinch of salt.When the fat has melted, stir in the flour and cook a thick mush.









The dough we begin to come off the container. Weaning from the heat, and add the eggs individually. stir quickly
